Incredibly comfortable position in the very very nice area, so close to the West 4th, the huge crowds and Manhattan. Nearby Blue Note - great place to chill out. The breakfasts with good products.

Free and wonderful breakfast for all tastes with yogurt and bananas, for instance. Very efficient hotel employees all round. Clean facilities in general, absolutely perfect location to subways. And really close to SantaCon crowds and Saturday night traffic, so many things, especially in Greenwich Village, and Times Square uptown.

The concierge, Ronnie, was fantastic!
The beds and pillows were unbelievably uncomfortable

Convenience to restaurants and shopping, safe.
Costly parking nearby and beds were short, didn't appear to be queen sized in the room provided us.

I liked the convenience to various neighborhoods and subway stops, the great design, the helpful staff and the overall ambience. It more than met my expectations.
Of course I wish it were cheaper. Also the breakfast area is a bit small.

The hotel is super charming, and I loved the cozy bar/lounge with a great happy hour. The room wassuper clean and cozy, and the shower had amazing water pressure. Even enjoyed the old Hollywood themed decor throughout. Plus, the subway is just a block away.

Location, location, location! It has been about 20 years since I stayed at the Washington Square Hotel, and it has really improved its look. The decor is now art deco which was fabulous, the beds were very comfortable (good mattresses), and the wait staff were friendly and helpful. My daughter (15 yr old) were there on a shopping trip, and since we spent most of our time in Soho and the West Village, the location of the hotel was great.
The price of the room with two single beds came out to be more than $300 per night. Seems high, but its NYC, right?

Staff is cool, room and bed are comfortable, and the location is excellent.
The only thing we did not like, was the food in the restaurant.

We explored the vibrant nightlife in the East Village, checking out some live music spots with that cool 60s vibe. The hotel was amazing location near great restaurants and bars. Our room was clean and comfy, and the staff was friendly. Don't forget-there's a subway station just 2 minutes away for easy access around the city.

Nothing particular. Breakfast is ok with choice between Menu or Buffet. Nice neighbourhood; walk thru Washington Square park watching the Squirls, Musicians, Guys playing chess etc.
I had booked a Luxury room. Apart from a coffeemaker, there was not so much luxury in this tiny room, without even a hook to hang up your coat or a place to open your suitcase, other than your bed. My room was at the street level, very noisy, every early morning there were garbage trucks and delivery trucks with engines running.

My sister lives on Cornelia Street so the location is very good. I like the park close by and I love Bleecker St and the Village in general.

Great location, as I was visiting my son who is a student at NYU. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and professional. Waverly Place is a quiet street, and Washington Square Park is right on the doorstep,
My room was very small and the window looked out over an air shaft. As an older hotel I am sure that the rooms vary in size -- next time I will ask for a larger room. The free breakfast was nice, but no granola or muesli was on offer
